As we have shared, the Church Health Community has a cooperative agreement to work with ServingLeaders Ministries to provide professional counseling services to our pastors. Serving Leaders has offices in West Chester and Willow Grove, PA, but a majority of personal counseling is available via ZOOM.

It has been a blessing to already hear testimonies about what a blessing personal counseling can be. Pastors have wondered why they did not begin counseling sooner. They have described themselves as more effective in ministry as well in their roles as husband and father. Even pastor’s wives have mentioned that their husband is like a “new man” having met with a trained, professional counselor several times. Pastors are eligible for up to six counseling visits which are paid for by the denomination. This applies wherever you find a qualified Christian counselor. Please reach out to your District Field Director or the Church Health Community if you have any questions.

We also promote healthy marriages for our pastors. FamilyLife offers the Weekend to Remember Marriage Retreat to pastors at no cost (contact me for the discount code) and the Church Health Community will reimburse up to $250 in related expenses for couples to attend.
