First EC Church is located at 51 Broad Avenue in Canton, Ohio. Canton is a city in northeast Ohio in Stark County and serves as the County Seat. Its population is around 70,000, making it the eighth most populous city in Ohio. Canton is known for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, which honors National Football League players through permanent and traveling exhibitions. The circular, domed William McKinley Tomb is the final resting place of the 25th U.S. president, who spent much of his life in Canton. Nearby, the McKinley Presidential Library and Museum chronicle the president’s life and also features a planetarium.
First Church was founded in 1922 and has averaged 15-20 people over the last three years. While small, they have a large vision of, “Boldly and sacrificially doing God’s will to all people, only for God’s glory.” Their mission involves knowing God and introducing others to the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ.
